This is a poem I just wrote after my nephew was found beaten to death in boston last month.

My precious Billy,
with a beautiful deep soul
I found myself watching you
wondering if you always
knew your destiny,
your time to go

You touch my heart
You touched my soul
You changed my life
in ways you’ll never know

God was with you
every step of the way
Angels comforted you
on your last earthly day

Jesus held your hand
and stayed by your side
When it was time to go
God carried you up
for your heavenly ride

My heart and soul ache
you’re no longer here,
but in my dreams...
you will always appear
